1. I will pass this test.
2. 1/8 = 12.5% and 3/8, 5/8, 7/8 - to find them out, use the multiple.
3. 6 x 7 = 42, 7 x 7 = 49, 8 x 7 = 56, 8 x 8 = 64.
4. Believe you know your timestables. You do, you showed me you could do them in class
5. 10 x 12 = 120, 5 x 12 = 60......You can work out the rest from using these two as building blocks. e.g 6 x 12. Find 5 x 12 and then add on 12.
6. 10% is the building block for finding other percentages. Want to know 40%, find out 10% and then multiply by 4. Want to find 5%? Find 10% and then halve.
7. Chunking up is the opposite of division. Use the x10 chunk. Chunking is easier than division for 2 digit numbers.
8. For fractions, you need 10 or 100 on the bottom of the fraction. Or to simplify e.g 9/24, divide top and bottom by 3.
